On the Norwegian Food Safety Authority's website it is stated: "Pets can have access to places where foodstuffs are served and traded where there is no risk to food safety. Such places can be in cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, sports venues and other eating and retail outlets. This applies both indoors and outdoors.
Remember that not all places allow pets, even if it is permitted by the Norwegian Food Authority. A good rule of thumb is to ask the staff before shopping and don't take it for granted, as people are allergic to dogs, are afraid or for other reasons. We have collected some places where your dog is welcome, but feel free to ask anyway.
Bergen Kaffebrenneri at Møhlenpris opens its doors for dogs inside and outside, so you have the opportunity to enjoy the good coffee and perhaps a good pastry on the side with good company from your dog. But be considerate of other guests.
